Wow, I can't believe it's August. School starts 3 weeks from today! This is the last week of camp and next week we're going to see Grandma and Pop in Fort Lauderdale. It will be the first time we go to their new place! The kids are excited for the beach, and so am I!
Sooooo, still job hunting. I got one call from the staffing agency, where they submitted me as a candidate and the client chose someone else, and have not heard from them since then! I did go on an interview last week that I think went really well, so we shall see. Afterwards I realized that I haven't actually been on a real job interview since about 1998. Glad I didn't realize that before!
I'm about to take Dominic to the doctor for the 3rd time in 10 days. He sounds horrible. I understand docs not wanting to overprescribe meds, but for God's sake, can we please get something?! Did I mention he hasn't slept through the night in those last 10 days!! Maybe they could prescribe something for me!

- I was born and raised in NY, on Long Island, about 25 miles from the city. (If you don't know what city, I really can't help you.) I now live in Las Vegas with my husband and 3 kids. I have a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, and yes, it is the #1 Hotel School. I worked in hotels in NYC, Reno and Las Vegas. Then I decided that 2 small kids and 2 parents in the hotel biz did not mix. So I quit my job and stayed home. This does not work well for me...so I went back to work part time at the hotel and started my own Virtual Assistance practice. This was great for 5 years until child #3 came along. Working from home and having an infant did not mix either. (For me - I know many people who can do this just splendidly.) Again, staying home with baby, not so fun for me. Next career - financial services. Hmmm, did not know the global financial system was about to meltdown. That lasted a year and a half. While I figure out my next chapter, I am going to blog. I figure that will help me write that chapter.
